Conris respects the privacy of its partners, prospective partners and visitors involved in the research, education and services provided by Conris. We only process personal data that is necessary for carrying out our duties and responsibilities as an informal association of Universities (of Applied Sciences).

Basic principle

We process all personal data carefully, diligently and in accordance with the applicable legislation and regulations. In doing so, we aim to strike the right balance between our interests and your interests as a data subject, and guarantee your right to make decisions about your personal data.

Scope

This privacy statement applies to all processes carried out by Conris. This includes processing via the Conris website, as well as processing in our online collaborating environments (Dropbox and Blackboard).

Processing purposes

We may use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • education provision
  • further processing of academic information or publications requested by you
  • service provision
  • user statistics
  • website security and improvement
  • implementation of legal obligations

Your personal data will only be used for the purposes described above. The chair and vice-chair maintain an updated processing register. Personal information is not kept any longer than necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or used. After this period, the data is destroyed.

Disclosure to third parties

Conris may use third parties (the Conris members and our website provider) to process your personal data. We ensure that these third parties act in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.

Security

Conris ensures that adequate security measures are taken. This includes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against any loss or any unlawful processing. These measures also aim to prevent unnecessary and unlawful collection and processing.

A risk analysis for privacy protection and information security is part of our processing register.

Data leak

A data leak is a security incident in which data unexpectedly falls into the hands of unauthorized third parties. If you suspect a data leak, please report it to the chair or vice-chair. Conris will then take the necessary steps to remedy the situation.

Rights of data subjects

You can submit a request to view or edit your personal data. You can also appeal to all other rights under this privacy regulation, which includes objecting to the processing of your personal data. These requests can be sent to the chair or vice-chair.

Data protection officer

Conris has not appointed a data protection officer (DPO). Should you have any questions regarding data protection, you can contact the chair or vice-chair.

Changes

Conris reserves the right to make changes to this privacy statement.
