The formation of NBS Northern Business School – University of Applied Sciences was initiated in 2007 by companies and trade associations within the metropolitan area of Hamburg. We offer our students two possible ways to receive a university degree: You can study either part-time while working at a company (the lectures then take place on Friday evenings and Saturdays) or traditionally full-time on weekdays.

All courses are organized in seminars and lectures. In contrast to many public universities, you do not study in crowded lecture halls, but in small groups. This forms the basis of the support and personal dialogue with the lecturers and fellow students.

Our cornerstones are good teaching, individual support, small learning groups, a modern learning environment and a friendly working atmosphere. The employability of our students and a solid academic foundation are our declared goals.
