With more than 6,000 students, FH Campus Wien is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Austria. Students can choose from more than 60 bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes and master courses across the departments of Applied Life Sciences, Building and Design, Health Sciences, Applied Nursing Science, Public Sector, Social Work and Engineering.

Integrated Safety and Security Management (BA, part-time)

Natural disasters, technical dangers, industrial accidents, sabotage and terrorism require organisations to focus increasingly on security. This part-time bachelor’s programme covers security from technical, social and economic perspectives, with the option to acquire accredited certificates and professional qualifications (e.g. security expert, fire-protection officer) as part of the degree. FH Campus Wien is a founding member of CONRIS.

Crisis staff exercise

As part of the integrated Crisis Management module, the department organises crisis-staff exercises in which students experience the complexity and dynamics of crisis situations first-hand.

Career prospects

Graduates are qualified professionals who can analyse, create, implement and communicate security concepts and work as internal risk and security consultants — in multi-utility companies, industrial plants, insurance and banking, transport and logistics, healthcare and tourism, real estate and facility management, the public sector, and international organisations and NGOs.
