About Saxion

Saxion University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the Netherlands, with close to 27,000 students. Its roots trace back to 1875; the 1998 merger of the Hogeschool Enschede and Hogeschool IJselland created Saxion in its present form. Saxion is recognised as an important centre of expertise at regional, national and international level.

Location

Saxion has three campuses in the east of the Netherlands — in Deventer, Enschede and Apeldoorn. The region is renowned for its beautiful countryside and relaxed pace of life, while good public transport puts Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague within about 1½ hours.
